As part of the inaugural installation of the Pavilions, Room 2 featured more than 60 works by over 50 artists dating from 1943 to 1989. Organized both geographically and chronologically, the presentation highlighted major moments in the history of postwar art, including avant-garde movements that flourished in 1950s New York, 1960s Japan, 1970s Brazil, and 1980s Germany. Juxtaposing iconic artists with lesser-known contemporaries, this installation showcased the depth and breadth of the Glenstone collection.
