Artist Vincent Fecteau creates abstract sculptures that exist between the lines of the corporeal and the architectural. His work is handmade from materials like papier-mâché, acrylic paint, and found objects. Fecteau takes inspiration from the impulse to create, stating, “I find it helpful to think of the work as simply evidence of an intention, or a desire, or an impulse. The end result is not that important.” In turn, his works are not meant to be indicative of a greater conceptual thought or ideology, but rather serve as evidence of an artist’s intuition.
