Trisha Donnelly is an American artist whose practice includes sculpture, drawing, performance, photography, video, and installation. Known for an elusive, often enigmatic approach to artmaking, Donnelly explores the space between choice and chance; intention and inaction; and negative and positive. In the sculpture Untitled, 2019, Donnelly activates the gallery space with two marble components. Each component features meticulously etched lines juxtaposed with rough, organic edges, marrying the outcome of two contradictory gestures in one dynamic sculpture.
